Onward and Upwards

I bought my first set of leather tools to build a holster for my Zoe Washburne costume for the upcoming Comic-Con.  Today I’m building our official website.  Somewhere in between a tiny business was born.  My sister and I fell in love with the craft, and what began as a hobby has turned into a passion.

We learned how to stain and how to cut.  We learned how to sew and learned all about blisters 🙂  We learned about the mystical patterning powers of saran wrap and masking tape and how to turn a flat piece of leather into a beautiful intricate mask.  We learned how to airbrush and what you can do to leather with a dremel (including how to set leather on fire if you’re not careful!).

While we have certainly come a long way from that very first project, there will always be more to learn and ways to improve.  Every customer request is a welcome challenge.  Thank you everyone for a tremendous first year.  We hope to continue this adventure for years to come.
